• The Doodler Update: Week 10

We have reached Week 10 and there is not far to go now. The minor project is due in the first week of January so I have quite a bit of work over Christmas but I don’t mind. The video above shows my latest contribution for rigging 2D characters within After Effects which I did to demonstrate to my creative Read more [...]

  • Welcome to the 365 Day Project

The 365 day project is a statement to those that are curious about what it is to be a creative professional in modern media. The goal of the project is to show a years worth of work from September 2012 – September 2013 with not a day to spare on either side. 365 Days means exactly that. This website Read more [...]

  • The 365 Day Project Sub Topics

The 365 Day project was a complicated thought process by itself, it was this which made me consider implementing Sub Topics – little hierarchies that allow me to file everything away in its correct place. Below I will list the topics that will be covered by this project with their corresponding logo. Read more [...]

  • How to Post on the Drop Shop

I’m hoping that this video helps people who wish to submit a couple of images to the Drop Shop who may not be familiar with the word press interface. First, don’t worry its not difficult and if I can tell you how to do it in an 8 minute video (shown above) then its even easier then I’ve described it. Read more [...]

So what is this site about exactly?

The 365 day project (unlike the others) is a glance into the life of a university student on his third and final year of an undergraduate degree. This is a behind the scenes look at creative insomniacs - 2d and 3d artists for the duration of an entire year.

The year long stream (2013-2014) will be particularly focused on David John Vandepeer (Stitch) - your tour guide but there will be visitors. Interviews with other creative students and private behind the scenes meetings focused on Stitch's year long collaboration project with CG partners in crime Sammy Butler and Chrissie Peters.

The next step is to finalize turnaround skeletons for the characters. These will allow me to easily add flesh and the selected costume. The turnarounds Read more [...]

The Doodler Update: Week 8

For week 8 there was a bit of a hiatus as we had dissertation drafts to get ready for submission. This meant there was very little Polydoodle updates going on but never the less I thought I would post up a few bits of work which were not accepted or at least were not ready for “& Son”. The video for Read more [...]

The Doodler Update: Week 7

Week 7 more or less the mid way point before we have to have all of our production assets ready for the major project next year, who’d believe that we are here already. On the Friday we have the interim presentation in front of Phil and Alan so we were set to have a couple of things worked out before Read more [...]
