The Doodler Update: Week 12
Well its Week 12 and it couldn’t come much sooner. I mentioned before in the prior week that things are winding down and now they have pretty much ground to a halt for the break. However in my case there are other things to do so I can finally get stuck in to the modelling process. This week is therefore ladled “Turnaround Week” as it will primarily comprise of getting our character model turnarounds completed.
The turnarounds started as basic skeletons (joint circles connected by single lines. From this I connected the joints to the main body features: Head, torso, etc. I then drew over this to create flesh from there I drew over the top of that to create clothing. The video at the top of this entry will show the process in minor detail so please enjoy that.
Above you can see some image highlights from our blog for this week (week 12). If you wish to see the posts themselves please visit the Polydoodle Pictures studio blog.
For those of you that don’t know turnarounds are used to provide details on the third dimension combining depth, width & height. This will allow me to create the 3D models. The turnaround above shows the front side and back shots of Young Barnabas. It also shows the 3 layers that build the character: Skeleton, Flesh & Clothing. Anyway we will see you next week for more!
