The Doodler Update: Week 30
Week 30 and there has been a hell of a lot of work going on down in camp Polydoodle. Stitch has been slaving away this week trying to fix a number of flaws pointed out by Alan in their last tutorial he has also begun work on Scene 6 (Video above). Sammy and Chrissie have been kicking off renders this week for their introduction which they feel is more or less complete with a few minor fixes remaining.
Polydoodle Chrissie has been adding 2D characters into more refined scenes (like Stitch’s Scene 5) she is also animating a couple of the 2D characters which look excellent in our world. She has animated hats falling from the heads of the unsuspecting funeral procession and also a frog for the gag at the end of Scene 5. The Polydoodlers are really excited about seeing the end result of all this work.

In light of the beginning of final renders Polydoodle Stitch has put a series of Playblasts out there (above left) with a single rendered frame (above right). This shows the quality of the final render and the animation of the scene itself in playblast form. This is as close as one can come to showing the end results of the short at present without rendering the entire shot. Suffice to say it’s looking good.
